GIVE FOR GOOD
We take in donations from the general public and renovate some of the items in addition to cleaning prior to sale in one of our two shops. The charities and individuals who we support are those that can are most needy or urgent cases. Cases are referred by other Charities, Social Services or the Church. Every case is looked at separately and checks done to ensure the case is genuine.

Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity reported a net deficit of £7,112 for the year ended 31 March 2025, resulting in total unrestricted reserves falling to £5,192. The trustees note that the charity is reliant on advance grant funding for working capital and may need to seek additional finance or use its freehold property as security if surpluses are not generated. Despite this reliance, the trustees consider it appropriate to prepare the financial statements on a going concern basis.
What the accounts disclose
“Total Income 80,914 - 111,215 -” — page 6
“We need to, in the next financial year, ensure that we have an excess of income over expenditure to reinvest as and when necessary” — page 3
“The trustees are aware of the requirements for sufficient working capital to meet ongoing running costs and are also aware that the charity is currently reliant, to a certain degree, on grant funding received in advance in order to provide working capital to meet ongoing running costs. If this funding in advance was to significantly reduce and sufficient surpluses were not generated then the trustees may need to seek additional finance, which may require the charity's freehold property to be provided as security.”
