LEIGHTON LINSLADE HELPERS
Our main focus is operating a foodbank to our town and surrounding villages. We also operate a community fridge and a market stall as part of our social supermarket offering. Our foodbank operates a self referral system, both on line and over the phone, making it very private. We also provide limited support for the homeless by signposting them to other agencies.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity entered the 2025-26 year with sufficient funds in the bank to cover its liabilities, including debts and restricted funds. The Treasurer's report notes that while income growth slowed, the charity achieved a balanced ratio of income to expenditure, suggesting confidence in its ability to continue providing services.
What the accounts disclose
“This could not be achieved were it not for the support of the local community donating food items in supermarkets and via our candrive initiatives. We also supplement the donated food by purchasing from the local supermarkets, this is made possible due to generous financial giving by members of the public and a number of organisations and businesses.”
