THE PAROCHIAL CHURCH COUNCIL OF THE ECCLESIASTICAL PARISH OF WHITTON
The PCC exists to support the overall mission and ministry for the Church of England in the Parish, by the provision of services and church buildings and facilities as places of worship and in support of community activities such as concerts. Our churches are: St Michael, Aldbourne; St Michael, Axford; St Nicholas, Baydon; St Mary, Chilton Foliat; All Saints, Froxfield; and Holy Cross, Ramsbury.
Financial health, per its FY2024 accounts
The accounts state that the parish reported a consolidated surplus of £6,836 for the year, with unrestricted reserves increasing to £472,398. However, the trustees note that two local churches continue to draw on historic reserves and one church reports being in a 'very fragile state' financially. The reserves policy aims to cover annual expenditure, with current unrestricted funds covering 69% of the £327,704 annual spend.
