For the public benefit (a) the advancement of amateur sport by promoting the game of bridge for the benefit of the residents of Hitchin and the surrounding area. (b) the provision of facilities for the learning, teaching and playing of bridge for the benefit of the residents of Hitchin and the surrounding area with the object of improving conditions of life.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity's financial position is sound, with unrestricted reserves of £163,347.36 at the period end. However, the trustees note that due to a recent significant increase in hall rent, it is doubtful that reserves will continue to increase as in previous years.
