THE MAIDSTONE STEINER KINDERGARTEN INITIATIVE
The charity runs a kindergarten for children aged 2 1/2 to 6 years. We use the ideas of Steiner Waldorf education, with the seasonal cycle and festivals providing the framework for creative activities and free play. The charity also runs parent and child groups for younger children. The charity also promotes our educational ideas to adults through talks and activities.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity finished the financial year with a healthy profit of approximately £5,460, contrasting with previous years where it struggled to break even. The surplus was attributed to the kindergarten being full, which increased income from fees and funding. The charity maintains a positive bank balance and has no disclosed financial risks or uncertainties regarding its continuation.
