DUKE OF GLOUCESTER BARRACKS PLAYGROUP
We provide childcare for children 2-5 years, giving them enriched adult supported activities. We have a free flow environment where we encourage in and outdoor play; we explore the area around the setting through walks and visit the local sports hall weekly for physical development. We provide enriched learning opportunities through messy play, crafts, role play, problem solving and much more.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity holds unrestricted reserves of £76,009.49, held for staff redundancies and unforeseen financial circumstances. The trustees identify principal risks as a reduction in children attending the setting or the military requesting the building back, which would necessitate relocation.
What the accounts disclose
“We have a reserve policy/account for any staff redundancies, which we have six members of staff who would receive a redundancy payment. Funds are also for any other unforeseen financial circumstances that the setting may incur, such as new washing machine, fridges, and extra staffing for training hours.”
