Application guidance — from the funder’s own website
- How to apply: The Synod examines each request on behalf of local churches. Applicants must first contact a relevant Synod Officer (Mission Practitioner, Property Officer, or Finance Officer) to discuss the project before completing the appropriate application form. The Synod does not accept unsolicited applications without this prior discussion.
- Deadlines: The Mission and Resources Committees meet four times a year to consider applications. The AT Jay Trust has deadlines in April (considered in May) and September (considered in October).
- What they don’t fund: Small grants will not be awarded when a Mission or Property grant would be more appropriate or when local church funds could easily meet the costs. Grants for disabled facilities are not payable where the facilities cost less than £1,000, nor are they payable for VAT.
