Application guidance — from the funder’s own website
- Who can apply: Eligible applicants must be Muslims with legal status, currently living in the UK, over the age of 18, and entitled to receive Zakat. The Empowerment Programme also targets NEETs, refugees, and women facing unemployment barriers.
- How to apply: Individuals apply directly via an online form. Applicants must have their own email address, mobile phone number, and an internet-connected device. The funder does not accept unsolicited applications from other organizations; instead, they invite partnerships via a 'Get in touch' process.
- What they don’t fund: The funder will not fund personal debts, nor support individuals seeking asylum, full-time students, those on student visas or work permits, or those with no legal status in the UK for the Housing Fund. Additionally, applicants who have received a Hardship grant in the past 12 months or the same Housing grant in the past 36 months are ineligible.
