Application guidance — from the funder’s own website
- How to apply: IFFIm does not accept unsolicited applications from external applicants. It is a financial institution that issues bonds to raise capital for Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. Funding is provided through sovereign pledges converted into immediate funding via Vaccine Bonds.
- What they don’t fund: Countries that are not members of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will not benefit from IFFIm funds; this restriction currently applies to Cuba and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. In the event that a Gavi-eligible country is in protracted arrears with the IMF, Gavi will not use funds generated by IFFIm to support this country’s immunisation programmes.
