KENTISH'S EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION
This 300 year old charity makes grants to young people of secondary school age and normally up to first degree level for expenses arising from education. Some priority is given to needy young people with the family name Kentish. Otherwise, applicants need to be permanently resident in Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity ended the year in good financial health with total unrestricted assets of £182,377.29. The trustees consider their current reserves of around £90,000 to be more than sufficient for stated purposes, noting that this surplus is partly due to a fall in grant applications. No fundraising activities were undertaken during the period.
