The object of the Charity shall be the provision and maintenance of a village hall and a recreation ground for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Nayalnd with Wissington and the neighbourhood thereof including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.
Financial health, per its FY2024 accounts
The accounts state that the Village Hall Management Committee ran the hall with a slight profit of just over £1,000 for the year. The Treasurer's report notes that hire charges cannot currently sustain the hall, which is over 50 years old and requires regular maintenance, leading to a proposed 5% increase in costs. The organization is actively managing significant capital projects funded by grants, including a National Lottery award of £275,305 for re-roofing.
