THIS CHARITY IS THE CHARITABLE ARM OF ONE OF THE CITY OF LONDON'S ANCIENT LIVERY COMPANIES. IT DOES NOT DIRECTLY PERFORM CHARITABLE WORK BUT CONCENTRATES ON (A) FUNDRAISING AND (B) MAKING GRANTS TO ORGANISATIONS OR INDIVIDUALS IN FOUR AREAS, NAMELY, (I) EDUCATION (II) THE CITY OF LONDON (III) THE FOOTWEAR INDUSTRY (IV) ITS GUILD CHURCH AND (V) TO ANY OTHER CHARITABLE CAUSES AT ITS DISCRETION.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that total income decreased by 16% to £87,267 while total expenditure increased by 12% to £111,601, resulting in a net deficit before investment adjustments of £24,334. However, after accounting for realised gains on investments, the net income for the year was £95,697. The trustees confirm that unrestricted reserves of £1,980,748 are in line with their policy objective of holding not less than £200,000.
