Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the Trust reported a deficit of £992,805 for the year ended 5 April 2025, driven largely by significant unrealised losses on investment assets. Despite this deficit, the Trustees consider the level of unrestricted funds held to be adequate to finance the assets and general operations of the Charity.
What the accounts disclose
“Dividends and fixed interest 55,128”
“The Trust is associated with Kent Wildlife Trust, which is also a registered charity. The only association between the two trusts is that there is a collection of mounted birds and fossils belonging to The Harrison Zoological Museum Trust displayed at the Interpretative Centre at the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve. These specimens are subject to a long-term loan agreement made originally between The Harrison Zoological Museum Trust and the Jeffery Harrison Memorial Trust. The two trusts operate separately and there are no financial dealings between them.” — page 5
