THE SHELL PENSIONERS BENEVOLENT ASSOCIATION
Pensioners in need of assistance are identified by Pensioner Programme Officer and a proposal is made to the Trustees as to how the Charity may assist the Pensioner. The Trustees may make a grant or an interest free loan. The latter enables the Charity's funds to be recycled and assist other Pensioners in due course.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that unrestricted reserves increased to £3,811,716, described by the Trustees as 'healthy' and providing a 'solid foundation' for future activities. However, the Trustees note that the changes in Shell's support structure have created a projected yearly deficit based on current income and costs, creating a reliance on Shell for annual contributions and future legacies to cover shortfalls.
What the accounts disclose
