THE FERN STREET SETTLEMENT
The object of the charity is to provide for the material and moral needs of persons resident in Fern Street and its neighbourhood, especially in conditions of need, hardship, or distress. The Settlement has a modern building currently used as a part of a joint project with All Hallows Bow Church.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that unrestricted reserves decreased to £12,353, which is below the trustees' stated non-discretionary annual budget of £15,000. The charity reports a net deficit for the year, with total expenditure exceeding total income, resulting in a reduction of cash held. The trustees note that projected investment income may not cover non-discretionary expenses, requiring the sale of investment units to cover any shortfall.
