THE WALMER CHARITY
Provides almshouses for six needy persons over the age of 60 years and resident within the ecclestastical boundaries of the parish of Walmer.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity achieved a total surplus of £4,018.10 for the year ended 31 December 2025, driven by a surplus in its current account which was partially offset by a reduction in the asset value of its investments. The trustees maintain that reserves are held at a level sufficient to meet future maintenance costs for the almshouses. The financial statements were examined by an independent examiner who reported that the accounting records show a true and fair financial position.
