THE BRITISH ENTOMOLOGICAL AND NATURAL HISTORY SOCIETY
Our charity holds meetings at its rooms for the reading of original papers, discussions and lectures, it holds an annual exhibition, field meetings and workshops. It publishes a journal and entomological text books. It makes available a library and collections of entomological specimens. These activities have the object of promoting, advancing and diffusing research in biological science.
Financial health, per its FY2024 accounts
The accounts state that the Society reported a net deficit of £18,298 for the year ended 31 December 2024, a significant reversal from the previous year's surplus. Despite this deficit, total unrestricted reserves stood at £241,373, which the trustees consider sufficient to cover day-to-day activities for two years as per their reserves policy.
