• THE RELIEF OF POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING ALMSHOUSE HOUSING ACCOMMODATION TO PEOPLE RESIDENT IN THE BOROUGH OF DOVER AS CONSTITUTED ON 31ST MARCH 1974 AND SURROUNDING PARISHES (“AREA OF BENEFIT”) WHICH THEY WOULD NOT OTHERWISE AFFORD THROUGH LACK OF MEANS.• SUCH CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE ALMSHOUSES AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES DECIDE; AND• THE RELIEF OF POVERTY OR FINANCIAL HARDSHIP AMONG PERSONS IN NEED OF FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WHO ARE RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT IN PARTICULAR BY PROVIDING SUCH PERSONS WITH GRANTS, PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR ITEMS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES FOR THEM OR MAKING GRANTS TO OTHER PERSONS OR BODIES WHO PROVIDE GOODS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES TO THEM.
