TO ADVANCE THE ETHIOPIAN ORTHODOX TEWAHEDO FAITH IN UNITED KINGDOM AND IRELAND FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH,1 THE HOLDING OF PRAYER MEETINGS AND LECTURES; PUBLIC CELEBRATION OF RELIGIOUS FESTIVALS; PRODUCING AND/OR DISTRIBUTING LITERATURE TO ENLIGHTEN OTHERS ABOUT THE FAITH; AND ACTING AS A COMMON VOICE OF ETHIOPIAN ORTHODOX TEWAHEDO CHURCHES IN THE DIOCESE, CONDUCTED IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE ETHIOPIAN ORTHODOX TEWAHEDO CHURCH CANONICAL LAW;2 PRAYER FOR THE WELL-BEING OF THE LIVING, THE DECEASED, AND THE GLOBAL COMMUNITY;3 THE ESTABLISHMENT OF NEW CHURCHES WITH THE ARCHBISHOP'S AUTHORIZATION AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CANON OF THE CHURCH, IN CITIES AND PLACES WHERE THERE ARE SUBSTANTIAL ETHIOPIAN ORTHODOX TEWAHEDO FOLLOWERS TO PROVIDE A PLACE OF SOLACE, WORSHIP AND ASSISTANCE;4 DELIVERING CHARITABLE ASSISTANCE TO THOSE IN NEED, CONTRIBUTING DURING TIMES OF EMERGENCY OR DISASTER, AND PROMOTING VOLUNTARY EFFORTS AMONG ITS ADHERENTS;5 THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT, OVERSIGHT AND REGULATION ACROSS THE DIOCESE TO STRENGTHEN CHURCH ADMINISTRATION AND GOVERNANCE ENABLING CHURCHES TO BE COMPLIANT WITH CHURCH SPIRITUAL, CANNON AND CHARITY LAWS.
