BRITISH HYDROLOGICAL SOCIETY
The British Hydrological Society holds regular meetings and events to disseminate and promote contemporary hydrology, drive discussion, and build collaborations. We promote and support education and careers in hydrology. We produce hydrology-related communications and publications and we support the development of early-career hydrologists.

What the accounts disclose
“The principal source of income for the Society was subscriptions from members (£31,307).” — page 5
“The trustees consider it prudent to keep unrestricted reserves at levels which ensure that there are sufficient funds to meet the needs of current and future activities which includes under-writing the costs of large symposia which could leave the Society with considerable liabilities in the event of enforced last-minute cancellation.”
“In March 2025, a travel grant of £500 was awarded to a Trustee to attend an international conference. The trustee was an early career hydrologist and their attendance conformed entirely with the charitable purpose of the Society.” — page 2
