It aims to connect and engage a wide group of people in a unique local heritage project, with the overall aim of investing in and delivering social and cultural benefit along with improved individual wellbeing.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that unrestricted cash reserves increased to £58,670 and restricted reserves to £45,216 by the end of the period. However, the trustees note that the financial situation appears more favourable than it actually is due to significant restricted grants for boat restoration and salaries, and they do not assume comparable future payments. The charity is actively securing funds to cover estimated core costs of £44,000 to £60,000 annually.
