Foundry Street Community Centre provides a secure, sustainable, accessible and culturally diverse space at the heart of Sowerby Bridge, to facilitate a wide range of inclusive activities which are valued and supported by the people of the area and which enhance their quality of life. This includes sporting, leisure, social, recreational and educational activities.

THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO FURTHER OR BENEFIT OF THE RESIDENTS OF SOWERBY BRIDGE AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, WITHOUT DISTINCTION OF SEX, SEXUAL ORIENTATION, AGE, DISABILITY, NATIONALITY, RACE OR OF POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS OR OTHER OPINIONS, BY ASSOCIATING TOGETHER THE SAID INHABITANTS AND THE STATUTORY AUTHORITIES, VOLUNTARY AND OTHER ORGANISATIONS IN A COMMON EFFORT TO ADVANCE EDUCATION AND TO PROVIDE FACILITIES IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE FOR RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR THE RESIDENTS.
