The CIO provides a parish of the Orthodox Church serving a community which comes from Oxford and its environs but also from further afield. It provides Liturgical services, catechetical instruction and pastoral care to its parishioners and to all who seek this. It also strives to assist those in need in practical ways

“The Trustees have policies covering substantial donations, bribery, data protection, safeguarding and health and safety, as well as a reserve policy.” — page 5
“No trustee received any remuneration in the year, but expenses incurred for the Charity were reimbursed to four trustees, Father Stephen Platt, Anna Platt, Deacon Alexey Kostyanovsky and Simon Jennings. The total figure for expenses reimbursed was £11,192 (2024 - £6,755). Father Stephen Platt was re-imbursed for travel and subsistence expenses totaling £8,058 (2024 £5,200). In addition, he was reimbursed £2,131 for general expenses incurred on behalf of the church, making a total reimbursement to him of £10,189 (2024 - £6,186. Anna Platt was reimbursed £290 (2024 - £543) for expenses incurred on behalf of the church). The costs of maintenance of the Parish house, in which they live, are borne by the Trust. Simon Jennings was reimbursed £503 incurred on behalf of the church and Deacon Alexey Kostyanovsky was reimbursed travel expenses for attending diocesan functions.” — page 17
