DOODLE RESCUE
Doodle Rescue is for the benefit of the public, to relieve the suffering of dogs, in particular poodle crossdogs, in need of care and attention and in particular, by placing such dogs into foster homes whilst permanent homes arefound for them or other suitable facilities for the reception, care and treatment of such dogs.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that Doodle Rescue held unrestricted reserves of £66,243 at the end of the financial year, representing a surplus for the period. The trustees note that the charity relies heavily on a single volunteer, Susan Green, whose workload has overtaken her time, prompting the introduction of a monthly financial reimbursement to cover utility costs. The charity acknowledges the risk associated with this dependency on one individual but confirms it is continuing its operations.
What the accounts disclose
“We have a very small bank of volunteers and most of our work is from one person only – Susan Green. We acknowledged this last year in our report and stated that we needed to find a way to support her as her voluntary work has not only encroached on, but completely overtaken her time.” — page 3
