METROPOLITAN POLICE CHOIR
The choir performs to members of the public and at internal events in our own right, but also in support of of other charities and community groups across London.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts were subject to an independent examination which identified material concerns regarding record-keeping, specifically missing bank statements and inconsistent categorization of income and expenditure. The examiner noted that while total figures were accurate, the lack of detailed records was due to significant staff turnover and administrative changes during the year. No further matters were identified that would prevent a proper understanding of the accounts.
What the accounts disclose
“Upon review of the Metropolitan Choir accounts for the year ending 30/04/2025 there are some matters of concern that need to be raised. There are incomplete records. When sample testing transactions some of the bank statements were missing.” — page 2
“Allocation of income and expenditure by category has been inconsistent to previous years. While I am content that in total the accounts accurately represent choirs income and expenses this is not the case by income and spend type.” — page 2
