BLIND AND SIGHT IMPAIRED SOCIETY (BASIS)
BASIS provides emotional and practical support to visually impaired people in South Essex. We do this through equipment demonstration at our Resource Centre, home visit assessments, befriending services, social activity groups and providing support at the local eye clinic.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts for the year ended 31 August 2025 were subject to an independent examination rather than a full audit, as determined by the trustees under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011. The independent examiner reported that no material matters came to their attention regarding the keeping of accounting records or compliance with the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008.
