RICHMOND GOOD NEIGHBOURS
We are a small charity, based in Richmond. Our team of volunteers support elderly or housebound residents shopping who live in the heart of the borough of Richmond visiting or driving clients to medical appointments or social activities. Essentially we do what a good neighbour should do.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity reported a loss of GBP 12,021 for the year ending March 2025, marking its first loss since March 2022. While unrestricted reserves (cash) stood at GBP 65k, representing 114% of annual operating expenses, the trustees note this position is fragile and dependent on securing further funding. The charity is actively seeking new grants to balance its books following a significant drop in income.
What the accounts disclose
“reserves modestly over 100% of annual operating spend” — page 1
“We ended the year at 114%, which in theory is a strong position but this can change quite quickly given it only assumes 1 year of running costs are funded.”
