(2) THE RELIEF FROM NEED, POVERTY, SICKNESS AND DISTRESS OF JEWISH PERSONS AND OTHERS RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT, INCLUDING MAKING GRANTS TO JEWISH CHARITIES.
