JERMYN STREET THEATRE
THE CHARITY CONTINUES TO ENCOURAGE NEW, UP AND COMING WRITERS TO WORK IN THE THEATRE; WE GIVE THE THEATRE TO SOME REGISTERED ORGANISATIONS TO ENABLE THEM TO SHOWCASE THEIR VALUABLE WORK. THE SHOWCASES ARE ESPECIALLY REWARDING FOR US AS OVER THE YEARS SEVERAL ACTORS HAVE GONE ON TO PERFORM IN THE WEST END.
Financial health, per its FY2024 accounts
The accounts state that the charity reported a net deficit of £36,048 for the year ended 31 December 2024, resulting in a small unrestricted surplus of £7,512. Per the trustees' report, the charity's ability to continue as a going concern is dependent on ongoing financial support from donors, with the auditors identifying a material uncertainty regarding this reliance. The charity's reserves policy targets three to six months of expenditure, but the current unrestricted fund balance is significantly below this target.
