DEVIZES LIONS CLUB (CIO)
General Charitable Activities: We operate in the Devizes area, raising money from the public by organising fund raising events where we collect money in a variety of ways. Most of this income is dispersed to local charities, needy people and good causes, carefully vetted by our Welfare Committee. A small proportion goes to Lions National and International for humanitarian and relief projects.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity remains in a strong financial position with unrestricted reserves of £19,295. However, the trustees note that the club is increasingly reliant on a small number of fundraising events, and a drop in income would affect its main purpose of helping others. The charity holds reserves to cover fluctuations in income and potential worst-case financial outcomes from these events.
