HALIFAX LIGHT OPERA SOCIETY JUNIORS
We give 8 to 18 year olds in Halifax and surrounding areas opportunities to be on stage, help out backstage, improve their acting, singing and dancing skills, boost their confidence, make life-long friends and have fun. We perform an annual musical, smaller concerts and use workshops to engage and develop their capabilities and skills for them to grow as independent, mature and responsible people.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity achieved a net surplus of £5,161 for the year ended 31 March 2025, resulting in total unrestricted funds of £35,829. Per the trustees' report, the society is in a strong financial position to meet costs as they fall due, with reserves deemed sufficient to offset unforeseen circumstances such as cancelled shows.
