Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state the charity achieved a small operating surplus of £991.95 for the year, despite significant disruptions including a biomass boiler leak and the cancellation of its major fundraiser. Free/unrestricted reserves stood at £111,274.22 at year-end, which the trustees consider sufficient to cover one year's anticipated expenditure and unforeseen incidents. The financial position is described as 'extremely good' given the loss of rental income and compensation costs incurred during the year.
What the accounts disclose
“the Trustees’ approach has been to maintain reserves to cover one year’s normal anticipated expenditure, any unusual liabilities for which provision needs to be made, any repayable deposits and any additional expenditure on possible improvements to the Hall and its surrounds.” — page 4
