THE ZAMBEZI SUNRISE TRUST
The charity supports children and education in and near Livingstone, Zambia, as well as the relief of poverty and distress. The focus is presently on the construction of school facilities for a school for vulnerable children. Other schools are also supported with the provision of books, computers etc. We have also helped two women's empowerment groups as well as homework club and pre school.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity reported a surplus of income over expenditure for the year ended 8 May 2025, with total income of £58,906 and total expenditure of £68,734, resulting in a net surplus of £10,626. Per the trustees' report, the charity was well placed to continue its objects and had increased support from local authorities in Zambia. The balance sheet shows current assets (bank account) of £25,751, down from £36,377 in the previous year.
