Related-party transaction: Payment to GPI Ltd
“The charity paid £37,286 (2023: £20,220) to GPI Ltd, a company owned by one of the trustees. GPI Ltd provides property sourcing and project management services in connection with the construction and renovation of properties owned or leased by the charity. All transactions were carried out at arm’s length. The trustee had no involvement in the selection, approval, or payment processes relating to these services. The arrangement was recorded in the charity’s register of interests and managed in line with the charity’s conflict of interest policy. Four employees of the charity were related to trustees and received total remuneration of £76,192 during the year (2023: £58,305 for three employees). Of this, £52,192 related to three employees connected to one trustee and £24,000 related to one employee connected to a second trustee. All were employed on standard terms and conditions and none held trustee positions. One trustee is also a paid employee of the charity. Their salary and expenses are disclosed in Note 9. No payments were made to them in their capacity as a trustee. All related party relationships were declared in accordance with the charity’s governing documents and conflict of interest policy. Where applicable, trustees withdrew from discussions and decisions in which they had a personal interest.” — page 33
