THE PROVISION OF ALMSHOUSES FOR POOR PERSONS WHO, IN THE REASONABLE OPINION OF THE TRUSTEES, HAVE A SIGNIFICANT AND/OR LONG TERM CONNECTION WITH THE PARISH OF SLINFOLD (THE "PARISH") OR, IN DEFAULT OF A SUITABLE BENEFICIARY FROM THE PARISH, FOR POOR PERSONS WHO ARE RESIDENT IN THE HORSHAM DISTRICT. FOR THE PURPOSES OF THIS ARTICLE, 'CONNECTION' SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: (I) PERSONS WHO HAVE LIVED FOR A SIGNIFICANT PERIOD OF THEIR LIVES IN THE PARISH, WHETHER OR NOT THEY CURRENTLY LIVE IN THE PARISH; OR (II) PERSONS WHO HAVE CLOSE FAMILY WHO LIVE IN THE PARISH.
