CHRISTIAN ADVENTURE HOLIDAYS CIO
CAH provide low cost activity holidays for 12 to 17 yr olds. Each year, in school summer holidays, we hire Bassenfell Manor Christian Centre and run four consecutive weeks each attended by approx. 40 young people.Campers do a range of activities (eg:Sailing; Kayaking; Mountain Walking etc) as well as Bible studies. The cost to those able to pay is £350 per wk however weeks are free when necessary.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity reported a deficit for the 13-month period, with expenditure of £94,374 exceeding income of £87,808, leading to a decrease in cash assets. Despite this, the charity holds unrestricted reserves of £63,493, which the Trustees consider sufficient to cover potential creditor refunds and future expansion costs. “The Trustees feel that we need reserves of this magnitude, in case we need to refund our creditors due to unforeseen circumstances (such as Covid) and as we have some expensive equipment to maintain in a safe state from year to year.
