LONGLANDS
Longlands offers alternative educational provision and mental health support to vulnerable young people within the therapeutic setting of an organic livestock farm on the border of Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Students study for qualifications in animal care, equine and land-based studies all within the context of meaningful work and alongside skilled and qualified tutors.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity generated a net deficit of £39,908 for the year ended 31 August 2025, resulting in unrestricted reserves of £202,472. The trustees note that the reserves ratio was below their policy target of six months' running costs at the reporting date, but they are confident the budget for the forthcoming year will address this. The charity remains dependent on securing external funding to maintain its services.
