We are X2Y; a charity working alongside LGBTQ young people and their communities throughout Wolverhampton and the Black Country, to achieve our vision; a world of liberation, joy and empowerment for all LGBTQ young people.We do this through our core activities of youth work, community engagement, outreach and training and consultancy.

THE CIO IS ESTABLISHED FOR THE FOLLOWING OBJECTS(1) TO PROMOTE SOCIAL INCLUSION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT OF PEOPLE WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT BY: PREVENTING PEOPLE FROM BECOMING SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, AND RELIEVING THE NEEDS OF THOSE WHO ARE SOCIALLY EXCLUDED, AS A RESULT OF THEIR AGE, SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR GENDER-REASSIGNMENT; PROVIDING FACILITIES AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR RECREATION AND EDUCATION FOR SUCH PEOPLE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE, IN ORDER TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; (2) TO PROMOTE AND PRESERVE THE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH OF PEOPLE WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT WHO ARE DISADVANTAGED BY AGE, AND SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR GENDER-REASSIGNMENT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, BY PROVIDING INFORMATION, ADVICE AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT. (3) TO PROMOTE EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY AND IN PARTICULAR THE ELIMINATION OF DISCRIMINATION ON THE GROUNDS OF AGE, SEXUAL ORIENTATION AND GENDER RE-ASSIGNMENT BY RAISING AWARENESS, WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, OF ALL ASPECTS OF DISCRIMINATION IN SOCIETY THROUGH PUBLICATIONS, TRAINING, EVENTS, MEDIA, AND OTHER MEANS OF COMMUNICATION.AMONGST CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE WHO IDENTIFY AS LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL OR TRANSGENDER (LGBT), OR WHO ARE UNSURE OF THEIR SEXUAL ORIENTATION OR GENDER IDENTITY IN WOLVERHAMPTON, THE BLACK COUNTRY AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS (THE AREA OF BENEFIT)
