LITTLE JESTERS PRE-SCHOOL
we are a small rural preschool providing quality early years childcare and education for children aged 2 to 5 years of age in Faldingworth and surrounding areas. We operate for 30 hours a week term time and are a committee run setting.
Financial health, per its FY2024 accounts
The accounts state that the charity's income increased to £67,196 while expenditure rose to £58,892, resulting in year-end cash holdings of £27,189. The trustees note that viability is dependent on attendance numbers and Early Years Funding, with a stated reserves policy target of maintaining three months of operational costs. Although the current cash balance exceeds the calculated £14,000 requirement for a three-month buffer, the charity acknowledges risks related to potential funding difficulties and staff obligations.
What the accounts disclose
“We are currently able to secure sufficient funding each month, but it has been calculated that if difficulties were to arise, reserves of £14,000 would be needed to continue operations for at least 3 months.” — page 2
