Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity incurred a total deficit of £29,950 for the year ending 31 March 2025, reducing its net assets from £64,884 to £34,934. The trustees report that unrestricted reserves of £17,550 at the start of the year were considered more than adequate to meet their policy target of covering three months of operating costs. The independent examiner confirmed that no matters came to their attention requiring further disclosure.
What the accounts disclose
“the Trustees’ consider there should be a reserve sufficient to cover at least three month’s operating costs on expenditure included in the unrestricted element of the accounts. On the basis of current estimates of expenditure in 2025/26, this should be in the order of £10,000”
