DOWNHAM MARKET & DISTRICT HERITAGE SOCIETY
Downham Market & District Heritage Society collects,preserves and displays artefacts, documents and photographs relating to Downham Market and the surrounding villages. These items have mostly been donated by local residents and the Society operates from a free admission Heritage Centre. The Society attends outside events and has a regular programme of Talks.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity remains financially healthy and meets its objectives, with unrestricted reserves of £240,827. However, the trustees note that £160,271 of the total reserves is designated for property improvements and is not available as usable funds, leaving actual available reserves at £81,776. The charity maintains a reserves policy target of three to six months' expenditure, which the trustees consider to be maintained throughout the year.
