WINDERMERE AND DISTRICT FOODBANK
The Windermere Foodbank operates in the area from Grasmere in the north to Grange-over-Sands in the south, supporting the area not covered by the Barrow/Ulverston Foodbank on the west and the Kendal Foodbank on the east. In co-operation with such organisations as Cumbria C. C. Social Services and the C.A.B. we give emergency food to people in need. Periods of help have been increased in pandemic.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The charity reported a financial surplus of £50,033 for the year ended April 2025, following a deficit in the previous year. Unrestricted reserves at year-end were substantially above the trustees' policy target of covering four months' running expenses. The organization highlighted a strong financial position after a successful fundraising campaign addressed a period of dangerously low funds.
What the accounts disclose
