TO PROMOTE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE INHABITANTS OF LUTON AND THESURROUNDING AREA THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR RECREATION OROTHER LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION OF INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE NEED OFSUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY ORDISABLEMENT, FINANCIAL HARDSHIP OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMICCIRCUMSTANCES OR FOR THE PUBLIC AT LARGE IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIALWELFARE AND WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITION OF LIFE OFTHE SAID INHABITANTS.II. TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN LUTON, IN PARTICULARBUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY BY THE PROVISION OF EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS,HOMEWORK CLUBS AND STUDY CIRCLES.
