The Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation
The charity carries out research to help those whose lives have been affected by conflict and war. Money is raised to fund research into effective methods of mine detection and prevention of injury. We also support educational and humanitarian programs which help improve the lives of the victims enabling indigenous communities to better manage the risks posed by explosive remnants of war.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that unrestricted funds were £1,694,661, which the trustees consider to be at the required level of three to six months' expenditure. The charity reported a net decrease in cash and cash equivalents of £238,126 for the year, primarily due to charitable activities absorbing £270,122, while investment income provided £168,234. The trustees confirmed adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future.
