THE GENTLEMEN SONGSTERS MALE VOICE CHOIR CHARITY
By our practise, promotion and study of music, often in association with other like minded bodies, we aim to foster public knowledge and appreciation of music by means of public performance. Such public performances enable us to raise funds which are then used to benefit local charities.
Objects
TO PRACTICE, PROMOTE AND STUDY MUSIC IN ORDER TO FOSTER PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE AND APPRECIATION OF MUSIC BY MEANS OF PUBLIC PERFORMANCE.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity holds unrestricted reserves of £46,903.85, which the treasurer describes as a 'cushion' sufficient to cover overheads for 3-4 years. However, the treasurer notes that this positive position relies on extraordinary windfalls, and excluding these donations would have resulted in a loss for the year. The charity is currently audited by internal trustees who are stepping down to appoint external auditors.
