THE NEW BRIDGE FOUNDATION
Our volunteers befriend some of the most vulnerable people in prison regardless of their location or crime. Throughout our work we stay in contact with people in prison and ex-offenders for as long as they need our help. We have no artificial cut-off points. Our subsidiary company, Inside Time, publishes Inside Time the national newspaper for people in prison.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity is navigating a challenging fundraising landscape and is actively working to secure sufficient funds to continue operating into its 71st year. While income from trusts and individual giving increased significantly in 2025, the charity notes that rising costs for salaries, stamps, and travel are driving up expenditure. The trustees express a need to raise more funds to meet the growing demand for their befriending service.
