THE RELIEF OF NEED (WHETHER OR NOT ALSO FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION) BY MAKING DONATIONS TO CHARITABLE INSTITUTIONS (INCLUDING CHARITABLE BODIES OF PERSONS) IN ANY PART OF THE WORLD EITHER THROUGH THE PCC OR DIRECTLY. IN THE CASE OF DIRECT DONATIONS THE RECEIPT OF A PERSON APPEARING TO BE A TRUSTEE, TREASURER OR OTHER OFFICER OR MEMBER OF A GOVERNING BODY (AS APPROPRIATE) TO WHICH DONATIONS ARE MADE DISCHARGES THE TRUSTEES.
