THE FILM AND VIDEO WORKSHOP
We provide training and facilities for filmmakers and animators. We work with adults, young people and children, here at our studio and in schools, colleges and art centres.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity incurred a net outgoing of £34,059 for the year, resulting in total funds decreasing from £143,193 to £109,134. The trustees report that funding has not resumed at previous levels following the Covid crisis and that costs will need to be cut to balance the books. Despite this, the trustees confirm that resources are adequate to continue in operation.
What the accounts disclose
“The charity aims to keep in it's reserves at least enough money to cover one third of the average running costs. Based on the previous year’s turnover of around £143,000 the reserve target was £53,000. We achieved this goal throughout the year and our average reserve figure was around £100,000.” — page 3
