THE DAVID AND JAYNE PATERSON EDUCATIONAL TRUST
The Trustees have fulfilled the charitable objects principally by enabling ethnic Chinese students to study for an undergraduate degree in law at Oxford University. With effect from September 2021 students were given the opportunity to participate in the MJur programme, BA in Jurisprudence, MSc Law and Finance, MPhil in Law, or DPhil in Law.
Financial health, per its FY2025 accounts
The accounts state that the charity holds total funds of £503,191, comprising a £500,000 investment property and £3,191 in net current assets. The trustees note that the trust is funded annually by the Founder Trustee and does not maintain significant financial reserves, though they consider the risk of running out of funds unlikely due to the Founder Trustee's continued generosity.
