COMMUNITY ACTION MACHYNLLETH AND DISTRICT
CAMAD is a volunteer centre and community support project covering the Dovey Valley in Mid-Wales. We promote and encourage volunteering and help potential volunteers find suitable opportunities. We also run community support activities, using volunteers, such as community transport, meals on wheels,lunch clubs and Foot care and "PATHWAYS Drop inn for people with Mental Health problems.

Per the trustees' report, unrestricted funds are essential for day-to-day services, and the charity acknowledges that UK and Welsh government and local authority funding is diminishing.

“It is funded with grants from Powys County Council and Powys Teaching Health Board, also from generous local donations but mainly by grants from Charitable Trusts which must be applied for on a continuous basis to enable the Charity to continue to provide its services to the residents of the Dyfi Valley.”
